Your fine wine doesn’t just need time to mature. It needs the right temperature, too.

Fine wine has always been stored underground. Why? Because 100ft underground the temperature remains stable.

When we founded Colerne Reserve, we wanted to replicate the natural conditions in Corsham Cellars. So we engineered a comprehensive heating, cooling and humidifier system.

At both Corsham Cellars and Colerne Reserve, your fine wine will be stored in an ideal temperature of 13-14 degrees. Which means it can mature slowly, and achieve its full potential.

Fine wine needs fresh air.

Poor ventilation can affect your fine wine.

At Corsham Cellars, we have a sophisticated ventilation system of 2.5m wide fans and miles of ducting. Fresh air reaches every corner of our 800,000 sq ft facility.

Air circulation is regulated by a series of above and below ground sensors, which ensures no extra moisture is drawn into the mine.

Natural stone pillars and fire doors help in maintaining an ideal temperature and humidity conditions. Combined with a sprinkler system unique to our industry, they mitigate the risk of fire outbreak and spread.
